Born in Washington State, I have lived in Eugene since 1981. I entered LCC's school of massage in 2006 after a period of transitions in my personal and professional life. While I have always done work I enjoyed, nothing has ever fired my energy and enthusiasm like massage. I feel truly blessed to be doing work that is beneficial to others while so fulfilling to me. Since opening my practice in April of 2008, I have continued to pursue education in aspects of massage therapy that especially interest me. To date, I have completed courses in Thai Massage, Thai Foot Reflexology, Acupressure, and Deep Tissue techniques. One of the many things I love about bodywork are the endless opportunities to learn new modalities and methods.
When not engaged in the practice of massage, I love to cook, read, and bicycle. Being outdoors, especially in the woods or in my garden, renews me daily. Hiking, backpacking, and travel are favorite vacation activities. I aspire to travel to Thailand to study Thai massage more deeply.
Each day, my intention is to be present in the current moment, and to practice compassion for myself and all I come in contact with. Namaste', Julie.
